Mobile Gateway 5 Features in a Nutshell

Synchronica launched Mobile Gateway 5 - the latest major version of our flagship product - in February at the Mobile World Congress.

Mobile Gateway 5 delivers a state-of-the-art push email and synchronization infrastructure that uses the OMA EMN, IMAP IDLE, and SyncML standards in addition to Email to SMS, MMS, and WAP Push for 100 percent device support.

Mobile Gateway 5 also supports push notifications for news feeds (RSS) and mobile connectivity to rapidly increasing social networks, such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

Finally, we have introduced mobile instant messaging (MiM) to Mobile Gateway 5, using the OMA IMPS standard to provide connectivity to many popular communities, such as Facebook Chat, Yahoo Messenger, or Windows Live Messenger.

Crucially, Mobile Gateway's built-in XMPP technology allows our customers to create their own communities as a tool for limiting subscriber churn.

The introduction of Mobile Gateway 5 has been very positive. In the first half of 2010, Synchronica has managed to sign up ten new customers (we signed up 13 for the whole of 2009).

We've also managed to close three deals worth more than USD 1 million from device manufacturers and a tier one multinational mobile operator group.

In June 2010, we announced our 40th mobile operator customer, effectively increasing our customer base by 300 percent since 2007. Our addressable market now totals 660 million subscribers.
