The Synchronica Mobile Gateway provides mobile users with access to essential business information without requiring a specialized handset, delivering mobile email and synchronization to a wide variety of smartphones, as well as low-cost feature phones.

Mobile Gateway supports the most popular business communication services, including Microsoft Exchange, IBM Lotus Domino, and Sun Java System Communications Suite, for push email, calendar and contact synchronization, as well as any standard IMAP4 or POP3 mailbox for push email.

By using open industry standards for push email and synchronization, it eliminates the need for additional client software, instead it integrates with the built-in email, contact, and calendar applications available on a wide variety of devices from leading manufacturers.

The vast majority of feature phones and smartphones available today ship with built-in email applications, as well as synchronization applications compatible with IMAP and SyncML standards. Most devices from leading manufacturers, such as Sony Ericsson, Nokia, Apple, Motorola, and Samsung, are therefore already supported by Mobile Gateway. For some smartphones which do not support the required industry standards, including Windows Mobile and Palm OS-based devices, Synchronica provides SyncML clients to enable industry-standard email and PIM synchronization.
